Learning a new skill, why it's never too late to start (part1)
Did you know that some of the most successful people discovered their greatest skills later in life? It's a common belief especially among middle-aged individuals to say "It's too late to learn something new". But that couldn't be further from the truth.
For instance, I know a women in her 60s who decided to learn English. Not only has made impressive progress but she also truly enjoys the process. Her journey is proof that age is no barrier to personal growth and discovery.
What skill have you always wanted to learn but thought it might be too late to start?

this lovely night - sam wilson x reader
“Is it out of line If I was to be bold and say, "Would you be mine?” - whistle for the choir by the fratellis
Plot: After having no luck finding love the usual ways, Y/N decides to try her luck speed dating. At first, it seems her bad luck is continuing... until she meets Captain America himself, Sam Wilson. Pairing: Cap!Sam Wilson x Female!Reader (also the TINIEST hint of Sarah Wilson x Bucky) Warnings: Mentions of sexism/sexist comments, Sam being a little nervous about dating and a few alcohol mentions. No sexism from Sam though! He could never! Other than that, just sickly sweet fluff. Just how I like it! But as usual, if I miss any triggers please let me know! Notes: This was written for @late-to-the-party-81‘s Challenge Yourself Challenge, where you have to write for a character/trope etc that you haven’t written for before. This is my first time writing for Sam! Thank you again to @staticscreenwriting / @astartothemoon for my dividers! Not beta’d, so any mistakes are my own.
“You know.” The man in front of Y/N begins, stopping only to take another big gulp of his beer. Y/N’s stomach twists. God knows what he’s about to say now. “I really think you’d make an excellent housewife.” He leans back, grinning at her. Y/N’s stomach churns, and she wraps her jacket closer around herself, hoping it shields her body from his gaze. “And a great mother to our kids. You’d stay home, of course, and I’ll provide for us all.”
And there it is.
“I have a job. I’m keeping that.” she snaps back. Fucking sexist loser. Thankfully, before the man can say anything else… or before Y/N can throw her drink all over him, the announcer calls out that it’s time to change over, and Y/N gets out of there as quickly as humanly possible. As she collapses into another seat, she can’t ignore the disappointment settling in the pit of her stomach. Sure, he’s a sexist pig, but that marks yet another failure tonight.
After so long of scouring dating apps for someone, yet having no success, Y/N turned to speed dating. After all, even if it all crashes and burns, at least she tried it once, right? And so far, like every of her other attempts to find love, tonight has been just as unsuccessful as the others. That’s not to say most of the men she’s encountered tonight have been awful human beings like the man she just had the displeasure of meeting. But almost every girl, Y/N included, wants to find her Mr Right, and none of the men she’s met have gave her that spark, that feeling in your stomach that tells you this is the one for you. Honestly, she’s already resigned herself to the fact that she isn’t going to meet the love of her life. Or at least, they definitely aren’t here.
Although, if this night is a complete failure, at least she can just get drunk and forget it all.
As the night goes on, Y/N’s prediction seems to becoming true. Well, back to the dating apps it is. Maybe the third time will be lucky?
“Hey, Y/N right? Nice to meet you.” Another male voice speaks. When Y/N looks back up and recognises who’s sitting opposite her, she gasps.
Captain America himself, Sam Wilson, is sitting opposite her. And somehow, he looks even hotter than he does on TV. In that moment, she loses all ability to speak, think… or even breathe. This is not where she expected this night to go, to have a literal Avenger sitting in front of her. She didn’t even notice him come in or move around the room. It’s like he just materialised out of nowhere, right when she needed it. He holds out his hand, and she shakes it. As her fingers brush against his, something twinges in her stomach.
“Are you alright?” He frowns, clearly confused and concerned by her silence. Heat settles on her cheeks then, and she chuckles awkwardly.
“No, I’m okay. I’m just more shocked that Captain America is here more than anything. Forgive me for being so forward, but I thought someone like you would have no issue finding love. I mean… look at you.” Her sudden honesty takes her off guard slightly, and for a moment she’s worried that she’s embarrassed herself even more. Yet, to her relief, he chuckles, smirking slightly. Or maybe the reason she’s so forward around Sam is because of how safe and comfortable she feels around him already. It’s like they’ve known each other for years, rather than only just meeting now. But Sam’s kindness and ability to make anyone feel at ease isn’t surprising. After all, there’s a reason why Steve Rogers' chose him to be his successor.
“Well, dating is tough for everyone. And to be honest, most people I date aren’t as cool with me being gone for such long periods of time, or the whole dating a public figure side of things. Seems like they just want a ‘normal’ life.” He admits. Although he still seems upbeat, Y/N registers the disappointment lacing his tone. And it breaks her heart. The Captain America identity is such a huge part of Sam and his life, and he deserves someone who respects that, and is proud to have him representing it, and to be dating him. She wouldn’t mind that life at all. She’d be proud to be at his side, to know that her boyfriend is a symbol of hope and heroism for so many, and someone who saves the world day in and day out.
He glances over at her again, grinning once more. “But I am glad that I came tonight.” And something deep in Y/N’s stomach flutters, like it never has before. Is this it? Is this the feeling that I’ve met the one? Looking over at Sam, Y/N smiles. If it is, she’s glad it’s come now. “And besides, you don’t need to worry about the formal stuff now. Please call me Sam.”
“When I’m back in Delacroix, I love to go fishing with Bucky, my sister, and my nephews. Spending all that time out on the open water, having an ice cold beer as the sun beats down on you….”
“Stop!” she gasps, moaning happily. “That sounds incredible. I’d love that. Just a shame I’ve never been on a boat before.”
“Oh, you don’t need to worry about that. I’ll take you. It could be one of our next dates.” He winks, and Y/N giggles.
“Oh, next time huh? I’d love that.” She sighs dreamily. God, this is incredible. Sam really is the full package. He’s caring, charming, hilarious… and, of course, drop dead gorgeous. After all, she noticed the outline of his muscles through his shirt pretty soon into their date. Although, given that he’s a literal superhero, that’s unsurprising. Despite that, though, she and Sam are still having a good time, regardless of his celebrity status.
Thankfully, tonight wasn’t such a failure after all.
Yet, a voice soon interrupts, bursting her perfect bubble of happy thoughts. “Excuse me? We were supposed to change over almost five minutes ago, and you two are still talking.” And that brings her back down to earth. Honestly, she’s been having such a good time with Sam that she forgot all about the speed dating element of this. Everyone else just faded away.
“Oh, sorry, man. I’ll go.” As Sam stands up to leave, Y/N reaches out, placing her hand on his and stopping him without even thinking about it.
“Wait!” she gasps. “I don’t want you to go.”
“You… don’t?” Sam frowns. Almost as if he’s so used to heartbreak and failure that he can’t believe she actually does want him to stay. But Y/N doesn’t even need to think about it. It’s never been as clear to her as it is now.
“No. I don’t. Or at least, if you go, I’m coming with you. Besides… you owe me a fishing date, right?” She just hopes Sam feels the same way about her, and isn't ready to say goodbye just yet. So when he smiles, Y/N breathes a sigh of relief.
“Okay. Let’s get out of here.” He interlocks his fingers with hers then, running his thumb over her knuckles.
“I’m paying.”
“No, you’re not.”
“I’m an Avenger, remember? I got this.” Before Y/N can argue or even say another word, Sam has shoved his cash into the hand of the teenage burger joint employee. “Keep the change man, alright?”
“Okay, next time I’m paying. Besides, I’m the one who recommended this place.” She orders when they’ve sat down with their food. Sam raises a brow, grinning.
“Next time, huh?”
“Hey, what did I say? You owe me a fishing trip, remember?” Yet she can’t ignore how heat settles on her cheeks once more, and how something in her stomach flutters with the way he gazes over at her. He looks at her like she’s the most important person in the world to him.
The restaurant isn’t too busy this time of night, meaning she and Sam are practically alone. Like they’re the only two people in the world right now. But honestly, Y/N doesn’t care if the restaurant is packed or empty. All she cares about now is being by Sam’s side. Like she said earlier, it feels like they’ve known each other for years now. They’re both just so comfortable and open around each other, nobody could’ve guessed they only met earlier tonight. Y/N just wishes this night could go on forever.
If she could, she’d stay by his side forever.
After their meal, Sam insists on walking her home like the true gentlemanly superhero he is.
“Those burgers were incredible.” He sighs happily, holding his stomach. Y/N giggles.
“Told you so. It’s your turn to pick next time, alright Cap?”
“You know… I kinda love it when you call me Cap.” He admits, chuckling.
“I’ll be sure to do it all the time then… Cap.” She winks, which looks like it almost sends Sam’s heart into overdrive. It’s so strange, seeing such a charming literal superhero reduced to a grinning, love struck mess around her. But then again, she’s sure that she’s the same around him.
Sam walks her all the way home, keeping her hand still clasped in his. In fact, she doesn’t think he’s let go of her hand since they left the speed dating venue, keeping her safe and close to him the entire night. Not that she’s complaining, though. Honestly, she hopes he never lets her go.
Unfortunately for them both, soon their walk comes to an end, and they reach the outside of Y/N’s apartment building.
“Guess this is the end of the line.” Sam sighs.
“Oh please, that’s such a Cap line.” Y/N rolls her eyes. Yet, she can’t help but laugh at his joke. “Seriously though, thank you for tonight, Sam. I had a lot of fun.” Immediately, the mood changes. It’s almost as if the happy moments from earlier tonight are gone as the pair remember that, at least for tonight, the good times are over. All Y/N can think of is one thing:
She doesn’t want this night, or her time with Sam, to ever end.
“You’re welcome. Thank you for taking a chance on me.” Y/N scoffs.
“I wasn’t taking a chance. I really connected with you, Sam, and I want to spend more time with you.” He starts grinning again, one of those huge smiles that takes over your entire face and with a warmth that feels like the sun itself. And it’s all for her.
“You know….” He trails off, chuckling. “I was going to ask if you really did want to go on another date with me, so I’m really glad you said that. Mostly, though, it’s because you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen… and I think I’m falling in love with you, Y/N.” She gasps, and her heart begins to pound even faster. Sam comes closer, closing the gap between them both. So close they’re only inches apart now. “May I?” He whispers, tilting his head towards hers. Y/N nods, too speechless to say anything. Slowly, like they’re in a movie, Sam gently leans in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. When their lips connect, it sends a tingle down her spine and sends her heart into overdrive. Sam wraps his hands around her waist, whilst hers go onto his shoulders. He holds her there for what feels like hours, safe in his embrace. “Can I call you tomorrow?” He asks once they finally, yet reluctantly break apart.
“Of course. Like you even have to ask.” He leans in again, this time kissing her cheek.
“Goodnight Y/N.” He whispers, his breath hot against her cheek.
“Goodnight Sam.”

I’m doing my very first cross stitch (despite having a boatload of kits both new and in various stages of completion from thrifted craft lots) and this shit is not for the faint hearted.
Here’s what it’s supposed to look like. Enjoy the extra artwork, my 18 month old was pleased to make it for your viewing pleasure.
My mom gave me this brand new kit for Christmas. And listen, we know mothers mean well in their gifting but sometimes they give inconvenient gifts. Like a white elephant. But the cost of upkeep is my eyeballs. My very eyeballs.
But because this particular kit was a gift from my mother and I love her dearly I am determined to finish this m’fer.
I feel like I’m a little over halfway but the line art part of it scares the hell out of me. And guys don’t get me started on the counting. So much counting. I do not thrive on tidy organization and routine. I am a creature of chaos and sporadic fits of creativity and motivation.
Ok. Enough bitching. I am really enjoying this and it is fun to really finally understand cross stitch. I felt like I understood it before. But in actuality it was just a vague knowing.
I wish there was a way it was easier on my eyes because they want to fall out just thinking about this. I do have a magnifying light but I feel like that makes it worse because it’s hard to find a comfortable position where I can keep my work at a consistent distance from my zoomer.
I bow to any cross stitch pros that do this on a regular basis. And I will keep your eyes in my prayers and thoughts.
Here’s what I have so far. There are mistakes. But I’m hoping they are buried so deep into the pixels that we will never notice them again.
And because I am a stay at home mom in a single income household I’m going to shamelessly plug an affiliate link and hope you guys will click it and buy some things on the other end. Y’all gonna buy some shit off Amazon at some point anyway 😂
So if you want the lovely pink pen my crotch goblin did her masterpiece with or anything else that catches your fancy at the jungle store click the link and go shopping 😘
Papermate Inkjoy Gel Pens (I really do love and highly recommend these in every color but the pink and purple are my faves)
And if you want to grab this little kit for yourself…. I couldn’t find it on Amazon but here’s the link to get it from Joann.

What I've Been Looking For
Pairing ▹ Joaquin Torres x gn. reader
This fic contains ▹ fluff, birthdays, soulmates AU, Joaquin and reader are 24 years old, alcohol consumption, sibling banter, lightly beta'ed writing
Word Count ▹ 1.2k
Summary ▹ Every year, you wish to meet your soulmate but are becoming less hopeful of it coming true.
Notes ▹ It's my birthday!!! You all voted for a birthday fic and I delivered 😜 I would like to count this fic towards my submission for @late-to-the-party-81's Challenge Yourself challenge since this is my first time writing a Soulmates AU. Remember to reblog and comment if you enjoyed! 😊
Prompt ▹ Sharing birthdays: soulmates are born on the same day, share the first breath with each other by @creativepromptsforwriting/@creativepromptfills Dividers ▹ @firefly-graphics
Birthdays were a sacred celebration. You lived in a world where your soulmate was born on the same day as you, sharing your first breath together. Every year, you wished for the same thing before blowing the candles of your cake out. You wished to meet your soulmate. The soulmate that came into this world the very exact moment that you did. As the years went by, you became more discouraged from meeting that person you were meant to live the rest of your life with. Nevertheless, you continued to wish to meet that special somebody.
Upon waking up to the sun shining down on your face, you sighed, throwing the bed cover off your body.
Another birthday. Another wish to waste on someone that may as well be a myth.
As you walked into the kitchen, you heard a cheerful shout from your sister.
“Happy birthday!”
“Oh, it’s that day again, huh?” You joked before giving her a hug.
“Of course it is!” She started to run to the fridge, pulling out a small cake and plopping a candle on top. You couldn’t help but laugh at the lengths your sister went to make your birthday special, even if she knew that it wasn’t your favorite day of the year.
“I really appreciate the gesture, but I am not eating cake at 8 in the morning.”
“Oh, c’mon! It’s guava flavored. Your favorite!” For a slight second, you were tempted to give in and eat a slice. You couldn’t resist anything guava flavored.
“Alright, fine. But I am not blowing candles or making wishes.”
“What?” Your sister looked like she was about to cry. Was it her birthday or something? “You will have bad luck if you don’t make a wish.”
“Eh, who cares? I haven’t had any luck with a soulmate so what else do I have to lose?” You walked past her to brew a cup of coffee and she followed you like a newborn duckling.
“I care! I know you feel defeated about not finding your soulmate but I know they are out there. I love you so I want you to be happy. And that starts with enjoying this cake with me. With the candles and singing and wishes!” You admired your sister’s persistence. She may have been younger than you but she fought like hell for you. Maybe you could do without a soulmate, as long as your sister continued to stick around and tolerate your pessimism.
“I love you too, little sis. Thank you for the cake. For everything, actually.” You pressed your forehead against hers. “Now light this bitch up, and try to sing on key.”
The end of your birthday was approaching and so far, it wasn’t too bad. You, your sister, and a couple of your friends went out for dinner and drinks with a balcony view of the sun setting over the beach. The alcohol in your system caused you to fully relax as your gaze followed the orange orb descend in the purplish yellow sky. You had just gulped the last day of your champagne as a crowd of employees marched towards your table with not one, but two chocolate cakes littered with sprinkles.
You glanced over at your party, confused upon seeing the second plate of dessert. They all shrugged before pulling out their phones to record you. One server finally placed a slice of cake in front of you, and you flashed them a thankful smile. Then, you followed the other piece of cake to the next table. The same server set down the plate in front of a man so ethereal, you could have mistaken him for Prince Charming.
That man glanced at you, catching your gaze as the candles on your cakes flickered under your smiles toward each other. Time stopped and the rest of the world ceased to exist as everyone around the two of you sang “Happy Birthday.” You couldn’t tell if it was his enchanting stare or the fizzling drink you downed, but your cheeks warmed up and butterflies fluttered around in your stomach. Everything about this man was mesmerizing, from his sculpted bone structure in his face to his fluffy dark curls, and then the radiant energy that he exerted as the gentlemen across from him sang drunkenly. You wanted to know his name, his story, and his hopes and dreams.
Amongst your trance with him, you discovered his name was Joaquin since his buddies shouted it louder than your equally drunk friends and sister did with your own name. Joaquin wasn’t a common name, but that was what drew you even more to him. Joaquin was full of wonder. You may not have known then and there, but Joaquin was just as enamored and curious about you.
“C’mon, make a wish!” One of your friends yelped behind her phone. Your eyes shut and a hopeful grin spread across your face. For the first time, you had a different wish.
I wish for Joaquin.
Opening your eyes, you blew out the flame and the sounds of cheers and claps filled the atmosphere. Peering back at Joaquin, your eyes met once again, lingering a little longer than before. His teeth glimmered under the last bit of sunlight that peeked from behind the horizon. The sun finally disappeared, but then the moon and stars took their place in illuminating Joaquin’s beauty for you to admire.
“Hey, why don’t you stop gawking over that guy and go say ‘happy birthday’ back.” Your sister laughed. Your lips curled inward as if you had been caught with your hand in a jar of candy. Suddenly, you grew nervous at the thought of approaching him. This man could be the soulmate you have yearned for your whole life. But what if he wasn’t what you expected?
You wouldn’t know unless you tried. And so you did.
The chair shifted under you as you stood up to walk towards Joaquin. Before you knew it, he was doing the same exact thing. Walking toward one another felt like your hearts were being pulled by a string that connected you two. By the time you were only feet from one another, you had wished you had some champagne to chug before leaving your seat. But once you locked eyes with Joaquin, all those years of disappointment and defeat vanished. Hope, love, and happiness began to fill that hole in your heart.
“So…” You began. “It’s your birthday too?”
“Yeah, it’s actually my 24th to be exact,” Joaquin responded, combing his hand through his brown locks.
Your heart skipped a beat. “Same here.”
Joaquin beamed. “I figured. Who would have thought that it would take me 24 years to finally feel truly alive?”
You bit your lip, fighting the urge to tear up. No witty comeback could top his, and deep down, he knew that. It was hard to believe that you had finally found your soulmate. All that was certain of you was that you did not want this moment to end.
“Well, I’m not much of a cake person, but I do like long walks on the beach.” You laughed at his corny comment. “Wanna get out of here in a few?”
You nodded without hesitation. Joaquin took your hand in his, symbolizing the beginning of a beautiful life of many birthdays and growing older with your soulmate.

Overthinking can lead to rumination and that's just not healthy! Rumination is the repetitive and passive thinking about a problem or distress without finding a solution. Don't get caught in the cycle, this can be both physically and emotionally draining! Challenge your thoughts! Reframe the problem!

You held your breath; no one could find out what had happened; after all, in a way, you were betraying HYDRA with what you had done before, and if now they found out what had happened... you didn't even want to think about it.
You could avoid the subject, since outside of the little big incident, which had happened, no one suspected you, and at the end of the day, what mattered was that "you proved your loyalty to HYDRA."
You turned around, carefully observing the surroundings, to make sure that no one had followed you and entered the password; no one was supposed to know about that place, and it was supposed to stay that way.
Even so, you had to come up with a plan to know what to do; Steve could not stay hidden there for eternity.
When Steve heard the sound of the door, he cautiously peered out; he knew he was in a safe place, but he had to make sure, in case something had happened to you.
"It's me; I'm bringing food," you said when you saw him. He smiled and left the shield leaning against the wall.
You usually told him about the situation while you were eating; the situation was critical, but you still couldn't find everyone, among other things.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Steve asked.
"Yes, Steve, everything is fine, but you lied.
"We should run," Steve suggested, and you put down the spoon you were holding.
"You know that's impossible; HYDRA has everything under surveillance. With the simple fact that someone says they thought they saw you, they send all available teams to capture you," you answered without looking away from him. The order they had been given was very clear; they were looking for anyone related to S.H.I.E.L.D., but especially Steve.
"I can't allow Hydra to..."
"I know, but Steve, he's already won. This morning... " You interrupted him; he gave you a dirty look. "This morning they caught Bucky; they have him again in their possession, the soldier said. "You practically whispered the last word.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME BEFORE?! " Steve blurted out.
"I couldn't escape before; in case you hadn't noticed, they have me under surveillance too; every time I come to bring you food or see you, I'm risking my life," you answered grumpily.
"I have to get him out of there somehow," Steve mumbled. You knew perfectly well what I wanted to do; however, it was impossible unless...
"I think I have an idea; it's too risky, but maybe it could work; I'm not completely sure, but maybe it's worth a try," you said.
With that simple sentence, you completely captured Steve's attention. In his head, he couldn't stop thinking about how to go and save Bucky, but probably your plan was better since all the ones he had thought of had an exaggeratedly high probability of ending badly, very badly.
"What's your plan?" Steve was extremely interested.
"You will enter HYDRA's facilities, not on the sly, but through the front door, and we will gain everyone's trust."
"I don't understand; obviously, as soon as they see me, they're going to try to kill me," Steve interrupted.
"Some time ago, something happened, and they came to believe that I was a traitor...
"You're HYDRA..."
Steve, shut up and let me talk. It's not because I wanted to; all of us, all the mutants who were kids when the Sentinels caught us and sent us to Garland, ended up in HYDRA; it wasn't by our own choice.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know," Steve apologized; he had never had the gentleness to ask you how you ended up there.
"It doesn't matter; well, we can say that you found a way to contact me and that you want to join HYDRA because... well, we'll think of an excuse, and from there it would be easier to find Bucky. I don't know; it's still not perfect, but it's the only thing I could think of in less than ten minutes. I'm not entirely sure if it will work or what consequences it might have," you said.
Steve was silent for a few minutes. He was thinking about what you proposed; it sounded really good. Maybe it would be hard to convince some people, but it would also serve to defeat Hydra from the inside, or at least try.
You began to plan the details quickly. Steve was going to try as hard as necessary to make it go the right way; this time he wasn't going to let the enemies win.

Found
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Steve Rogers (set in the beginning of endgame)
Summary: after five years of feeling lost, Natasha wants to be found.
word count: 450ish
warnings: angst, fluff, possessiveness, sad Nat, supportive Steve, happy ending.
authors note: This is my take on Jen (@late-to-the-party-81) Challenge Yourself - challenge! Thank you, Jen - I hope I did it justice!
(english is not my first language, so im sure there will be mistakes!)
Natasha looks at Nebula, Rocket, Okoye, Carol and Rhodes.
"All right. Uh well…This channel's always active. so, if anything goes sideways…anyone's making trouble where they shouldn't…comes through me."
Everyone nods in agreement and the video call ends, making the holographic figures disappear.
Natasha slumps down in the chair, the sadness and the desperation washing over her. She, the expert assassin, felt lost at sea. Hopeless, abandoned, alone.
Hiding her face in her hands, eyes welling up with tears.
"You ok?" Steve's voice is soft and mellow. Natasha quickly straightens up and try to blink the tears away.
"You here to do laundry?" Natasha tries to sound mocking, but the tremble in her voice gives her away.
"And to visit a friend" Steve walks towards her, sitting down in the opposite facing chair.
They sit in comfortable silence for a few minutes. The only sound heard is their own breathing and the slight humming of electronics.
"You know, you don't have to hide from me, Nat." Steves voice breaks the silence. Eyes blue as the summer sky meets Natashas green ones.
"Yeah… I know" a faint smirk ghosts over Natashas lips. She clears her throat and looks down, hiding her sadness once again.
A warm, big hand cups her cheek. Steve slowly tilts her head up, until they are facing each other completely. He's closer now, faces only inches apart.
"Stop. Hiding. From. Me." The dominance and tenderness in his voice makes the redhead shiver.
Reaching out her hand, she places it on his chest.
"How could I ever hide? You always seem to find me"
Natasha can feel Steve's heart speed up under the palm of her hand. Steve's eyes flicker back and forth between her eyes and her lips.
Natashas eyes once again wells up with tears. "Please Steve, find me."
The words are barely a whisper.
Steve wastes no time, crashing his lips against Natashas. There is no room for softness, or any kind of gentleness. It's raw. Two bleeding hearts, beating as one.
For just one moment they forget. They forget about everything and everyone. Just for once, their only focus is each other.
Steve takes Natasha into his arms, the gentle touch welcomed like rain in a draught.
Pouring all his love into the kisses and touches, Steve wants Natasha to know. To know that he loves her. That she deserves better. That he wants her to be his.
"Mine".
Natasha pulls back, looking at Steve with shock in her eyes. Steve looks right back at her, pulling her back.
"Mine" - he's louder this time.
Natasha feels her heart beating fast, threatening to jump right out of her chest.
Silence.
A breath.
"Yours."

I Need a Cover for My PiB AU Story!
It’s time for a challenge to you all since I’ve got 10000 hits for my alternate universe tale of Puss in Boots!
I would like to see a cover that is based on one of those covers from the best collection: Disney; A Twisted Tale
It can be whatever hero or villain to be on this cover, but I prefer to be Puss and Death because they are the main characters of this story.
Here are the two quick sketch for the example, I’d like to do it myself but… I can’t draw wolves properly.
You can use digital or traditional drawings and the dates will be over until further notice! So please joining if you are the fan of Puss in Boots and Death in Boots shippers (Puss x Death)
Bonus if you want to use these ideas!
(I’d like to add more but stupid tumblr rules!)
Remember, have fun!

Oh How Time Has Changed
Along with passing time, goes the changes of each generation. As things gets more advanced, you notice how value, time and energy has shifted as well. I remember the days when you can trust your child being out in the neighborhood. You didn't have to worry cause your child was safe at a neighbor's house. How we would show respect to our elders because we didn't want our family to look bad. How sex was an intimate act saved for marriage. It wasn't something casual that you had in every relationship you are in starting from middle school. The violence from the young generation as well. Parents were able to discipline without backlash as this was how they kept their kids in line. Now, everything is quite opposite. Kids are willing to have sex like it is a normal part of everyday life. Then they wonder why there is a lot of teen pregnancy and young underage single mothers. Kids committing crime or acts of violence. Disrespecting their elders. The community pointing fingers to the parents that they are not doing their job. How can they be parents if the government locks them up for discipline. How can they be parents when they are now forced to be a single parent household cause one parent is locked up? They wonder why their kids are no longer safe. Well look at this so called change for the better? It is not for the better. It is making it worse. Criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens. Disrespectful and unruly children have more rights than their parents. The system is pushing this world in the direction it is going. It is not for the better. Maybe for the rich it is. But not for the rest of the community. The government need to do better. Quit raising prices. Forcing parents to work to be able to provide every day necessity. That is what is causing these kids to not have that parental care at home. Who is going to be parenting when they are busy providing so that they don't end up in the streets? C'mon now. The government can do better. The communities can do better. It is time for all to work together if we intend to have a better future for our kids. Cause from the looks of it, when we are gone. They will be left in a warzone. Do better.
